The New Normal

Opportunities across the industry have been stifled since March, but our enthusiastic team have stepped up and adapted to new situations expertly. Throughout the pandemic, our operational team has included:

  • Traffic Operatives installing and maintaining footway widening schemes to enable social distancing in public spaces.
  • Traffic Supervisors and staff managing access at public parks.
  • Traffic Operatives operating pedestrian crossing facilities and guarding temporary road works.
  • Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) Staff directing traffic for a drive-in cinema event.
  • Traffic Stewards controlling traffic and implementing new access systems for a recycling centre.
  • Traffic Managers and teams operating traffic control systems for socially distanced music events and a triathlon.
  • Traffic Marshals (Banksmen) servicing loading bays for venues operating digital and private events.

We continue to focus our energy on engaging with our team, to ensure The Last Mile is well-positioned to cater for short notice assignments throughout winter, and to prepare for when events, venues and festivals return.
